Nikitsky Botanical Garden

Nikitsky Botanical Garden is one of the oldest and the biggest botanical gardens in the world, containing some 50000 species, varieties, forms and hybrids of plants from all the all continents. Established in 1812 and located on high slopes above Nikita, today it occupies an area of forty hectares. From mid-spring till late autumn one can admire 250 varieties of roses in blooms, carefully selected by local botanists, together with rich chrysanthemums in mid October. Stroll along shady alleys, take pictures of beautiful plants and enjoy fresh Crimean mountainous air.
